ORDE marks growth milestone with Melbourne CBD signage

ORDE Financial (ORDE) has unveiled new signage atop its headquarters at 31 Queen Street in Melbourne’s CBD, marking the latest milestone in the non-bank lender’s growth since launching in 2019.
Located on the landmark tower long known to Melburnians as the 'Challenger' building, ORDE's illuminated sign is a new addition to the city skyline. It reflects the company's growth from a six-person startup to a national non-bank lender supporting more than 7,000 brokers, 16,000 borrowers and over $13 billion in settled loans. The signage coincides with ORDE's continued growth, including the expansion of its Melbourne headquarters and national team.
ORDE was founded by Managing Directors Paul Wells and Ryan Harkness, together with four founding team members who remain with the business today. The lender has also been supported by a number of partners since its early years.
Harkness said the installation reflected the work behind the business.
‘When we started ORDE in 2019, the non-bank sector looked very different. Today, brokers and borrowers have far more choice, and non-bank lenders are playing an increasingly important role in supporting clients with a broader, more complex range of lending needs. The sign is a visible moment, but what matters is everything that’s gone into getting here – the people, the relationships and the belief from those who backed us early on.’
Wells said the milestone also pointed to the opportunities ahead.
‘We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, but there’s a lot more in front of us. We’ve recently launched the ORDE Income Fund and continue to invest across the business. We see this as another step in ORDE’s next chapter.’
