ORDE builds out distribution leadership to support broker growth

As ORDE Financial enters its seventh year, the business has appointed Marc Cassidy to a newly created role as National Distribution Manager, strengthening its distribution leadership as broker demand for non‑bank lending support continues to grow.
Cassidy brings more than 20 years’ experience across banking and financial services, including senior leadership roles spanning mortgages, wealth, adviser engagement and credit. His career includes time at major institutions including NAB and MLC, where he worked across national lending and distribution teams. Outside work, he has long been involved in community football, coaching senior, reserve & U19 grade teams (including a Premiership in U19s) and reinforcing the importance of development and building a strong team culture.
Since launch, ORDE has supported more than $10 billion in settled loans for over 16,000 Australian borrowers, while expanding its distribution footprint to six major aggregator panels with access to more than 18,000 brokers nationwide. Over the past 12 months, ORDE’s distribution team has doubled in size, building the on‑the‑ground capability required to meet growing broker demand.
Founded broker‑first from day one, ORDE’s distribution model has been designed to stay close to brokers and work alongside them as client scenarios evolve. Through working closely with brokers across the country, ORDE sees first‑hand the importance of experienced, accessible BDMs and practical support to help brokers make confident decisions and keep deals moving. The creation of the National Distribution Manager role ensures this approach is maintained as the business continues to scale.
In his new role, Cassidy will lead ORDE’s state and regional distribution teams, working closely with State Sales Managers, Business Development Managers and Relationship Managers across the country, as well as the broader One Lending Team.
ORDE’s Director of Distribution Lee Prior said the appointment was a deliberate step as the distribution team continues to grow.
‘As ORDE scales, we’ve been intentional about investing in leadership that supports what matters most to brokers – consistency, accessibility and experience,’ Prior said.
‘Marc brings strong distribution experience and a grounded, practical leadership style. He understands that supporting brokers well also means supporting our people – and that aligns closely with how ORDE operates.’
Cassidy said ORDE’s approach to distribution appealed immediately.
‘ORDE is very clear about who it’s built for – brokers,’ Cassidy said.
‘I was drawn to how closely the Distribution team works with brokers and aggregator partners and stays involved on the ground. There’s strong depth across sales and credit, built on deep broker relationships, and that experience is shared to upskill our people and support brokers through real-world scenarios.’
Cassidy commenced with ORDE this month and will be based in Melbourne, working nationally across ORDE’s distribution network.
